No Cluckin’ Way! Big Ebro Catfish have a taste for chicken…

Some experimental bottom fishing with pieces of legered chicken carcase has been producing some excellent results down on the lower Ebro, with an ever growing number of 100+ Catfish being tempted on static bottom baits fished in amongst weedy areas.

Although not our normal approach, the static method has been working particularly well on clear days when the Catfish have been disinterested in taking drifted baits off the bottom, particularly in clear water conditions.

Here’s a selection of a few of the big Cat’s that have felt like Chicken tonight, and it’s already looking an impressive portfolio…
