What a result late in the session for one of our regular visitors, Lee Booker. Having braved some violent northerly winds for much of the day, Lee was delighted when his float shot under in the margins and battle commenced with this stunning fish of 146lb. The fish put up an amazing battle with fast runs in the mid-channel, repeatedly changing directions and running the boat, leading to some nervous moments before being finally subdued.

The fish improves Lee’s personal best by 7lbs and was part of a 3 fish haul on the day.

A dramatic start to the session today for Gary Greenhill when this monster of 145lb nailed a mullet livebait on the ‘kitten alley’ drift with in 15 minutes of commencing. The fish ploughed straight through a weedbed and into the reeds, but after some anxious moments of gardening in the undergrowth the fish was dragged out and boated, albeit that a proper fight was not really had. Gary added two further kittens on a day of high winds from the north.

Yesterday saw him add a 72lber to the other mid sized cats he caught on tuesday, whilst the clear highlight of his holiday came in the shape of this magnificent beast of 154lbs caught off the edge of a shallow weedy plateau.
