This early March capture was most notable as it was part of a double hook-up with the other cat being a 155lber! An absolutely unforgettable short morning session for Joe was completed with another fish over treble figures later in the day. This is the lower Ebro at it’s brilliant best!

This sensational late November capture was taken from a shallow section of relatively fast flowing water and put up an amazing battle which began in daylight and ended in darkness! The huge fish capped off a fantastic visit for the Polish boys who each went home with the magical 100lber!

This capture was spiced up when the hooks pulled out of the mouth and into the tail of this huge fish during the fight. One of the fastest (and longest) runs ever was witnessed as the fish bolted up onto a shallow contour. The early April monster took over 30 minutes to tame for a delighted Darren.

This monster cat of 163lb came at the end of a successful week for the Dowson family which saw all 3 generations going home with new personal bests well over treble figures. The fish came late on the final day of the holiday and was again caught on a mullet in around 20ft of water on big cat alley. Dave was absolutely over joyed with this magnificent catch.

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Barbel specialist Chris Slidel was delighted with this behemoth on his first ever visit to the river, which took a mullet in a deep water section of the Delta in early June. The fish rounded off a highly successful trip for Chris’ party with 3 further ton plus fish bagged in a 3 day session.

Friday, January 8th, 2010

This magnificent specimen of 161lb capped off a great trip for the Bishop family after Darren’s monster of 165lb was landed the day previous. Mullet fished down 20ft on big cat alley was the successful formula.

2009 Top 10, #10, Sesh Mehmet 160lb

Friday, January 8th, 2010

This whacker of 160lb came late afternoon on a sweltering July session and was most memorable for the spectacular take as the cat chased a big mullet onto the surface before nailing it. Remarkably the fish did not even beat Sesh’s personal best of 161, caught a couple of years ago!
