Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. Early July 2014

There’s been some excellent Catfishing this week on the lower Ebro in warm, settled conditions. The trip got off to an excellent start with Al Russell and Andy Palmer enjoying some fantastic sport up river towards the Bull Island south of Tortosa. Al got the ball rolling with an 88lber, which was followed shortly afterwards by a mighty 150 caught by Andy. In a crazy spell of action this huge fish was quickly eclipsed by an even bigger one – this time a 154lber caught by Al.

Al and Andy were in the fish again on the following day, with two unstoppable monster cats lost in a notorious snag on the wires section, before they were both into the ton plus Cats again later in the day with a 101 for Andy followed by a 122 for Al.

To this point in the trip it had been quiet for Nathan and Glenn, but this changed on the third day with Glenn bagging two ton plus fish of 101 & 131, once again from the in form Wires area, whilst Nath had to be content with a 76lber.

Glenn's luck finally changed with this 101lber

With a 6 hundred haul the guys return to England more than happy with their return (maybe not Nathan!).
