Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. Early July 2016

As the summer heat cranks up a few notches the Catfish of the lower Ebro river are becoming increasingly difficult to tempt in the daytime, but we are finding that evening sessions have been quite rewarding. Brothers Rob and Ian Smith, along with friend Lewis Barber have prevailed this week with 3 chunky Cats, all caught near the end of daylight. The trip started well when a feeding spell at Amposta saw us boat 2 jumbo sized Siluros – 165 to Lewis and 157 for Rob. Ian has been having some bad luck this week, pulling out of 3 powerful fish, so it was left to Rob to round off the trip with a 122 from Deltebre.
