Lower Ebro Catfishing…. Latest Catch Reports…. Early July 2016

What a superb result for Jon Alder’s group of 5 who took a monster haul of 874lb of lower Ebro Catfish in just 2 days of fishing, with 8 of the Cats coming out in a single day! The river had been off form previous to this but the Catfish are notoriously fickle feeders and switched on dramatically – and for no apparent reason!

All the fish were taken from the Amposta stretches and the notables included 129 (Dave Jackson), 128 (Del Cannell), 124, 106, 96 & 84 for Mark Gregory and 80 & 67 to Pete Harrison. Poor old Jon who organised the trip = blank!!
