Charter Boat Fishing - GUIDED CATFISHING TOURS of the River Ebro, Spain - Complete with cat fishing tackle!

If you choose to book your guided cat fishing tours with Al Henderson and Martin Fawcett you will benefit from the following services:

  • Ebro Catfishing Boat Charter boat fishing. A fully customised charter boat that has been modified for locating, hooking and landing very large catfish. These charter boats are extremely stable 17 foot California Skiffs fitted with 2005 50hp Honda 4 stroke outboard motors with electric start and tilt features. These engines provide first rate performance and reliability and allow us great mobility during the course of a day. Our boats are also fitted with top of the range Eagle fish finders and Minn Kota electric trolling motors for boat positioning whilst drifting. The boats will comfortably accommodate the guide and up to 3 anglers.
  • Specialist cat fishing tackle is supplied, we use Shimano Uptide rods combined with Penn Multipliers. All our equipment has been tried and tested over 8 full seasons of guided fishing and will not let you down. We have custom made weighing slings and 240 lb Reubon Heaton scales which will allow you to accurately weigh a 200 lb+ fish.
  • Ebro Catfishing Simon Channing Live bait is provided by us, usually mullet, crucian carp or eels. You will not have to worry about catching your own bait!
  • Unparalleled experience and local knowledge. Over the years we have located the prime areas that attract catfish under  differing river conditions. We can give you access to miles of river that the bank angler would never find, or be able to fish. You could waste hours fishing in the wrong areas, but we will put you straight onto the hotspots and those elusive secret swims.
  • High quality digital cameras to photograph your capture. We also have facilities to develop photos at our guesthouse, or alternatively can email the pictures to you after your holiday is over.
  • A conservation minded approach, using barbless hooks  throughout. All our fish are gloved by the guide and then brought into the boat, quickly weighed, photographed if requested and then instantly released. This process takes as little as a couple of minutes and causes minimal stress to the fish. We do not put catfish on ‘stringers’.
  • Everyone knows there is more to fishing than just catching fish. You will benefit from a friendly, professional service and our own brand of relaxed hospitality. Sit back, relax, enjoy the sunshine and take in the beautiful surroundings as we strive to find that monster catfish for you.

A typical day on the river will start late morning and we will fish on into the evening , the total duration on the river being around 8 hours. During this time we will be working controlled drifts with free roving live baits fished close to the river bed. Occasionally due to extreme wind conditions we may have to fish static on known hotspots, although we generally favour a mobile approach, constantly covering water. Our service is all inclusive and we are with you all day offering advice and guidance. All you need to remember to bring is sun cream, sun hats, sun glasses, insect repellent and plenty of water.
